Job Summary:

The Field Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating quality products safely, efficiently, accurately, and on time. He/she is expected to utilize hands-on aptitude, interpersonal skills, and data manipulation throughout the lifecycle of operations in accordance with UAI procedures, company policy, and safety regulations. The Field Operator is the face of UAI in front of the client during operations, and is responsible for delivering services in a professional, efficient, and timely manner.

    Key Job Tasks:

  • Test and calibrate equipment for functionality and quality
  • Troubleshoot issues with equipment, document workarounds, test implemented fixes, document operation procedures, and report through chain of command
  • Pre-job planning of equipment needed to provide service
  • Operate UAI equipment and deliver data in accordance with all UAI policies at a high level of service quality and competence
  • Inspect, maintain, inventory, and pack kits for field operations
  • Communication with UAI office and client to ensure service provided is timely and efficient
  • Domestic and international travel to remote field locations to provide services
  • Travel may be for extended periods of time (weeks to months)
  • Develop operation procedures and documentation
  • Ensure all HSE policies and procedures are followed
  • Maintain and use correct PPE for each task
  • May be assigned other job duties as required

    Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • 2 years Oil and Gas shop and/or field experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical communication skills – Written and Spoken Communication
  • Computer knowledge including data manipulation – Microsoft Office Suite
  • Time management
  • US Driver’s License with a Clean Record
  • Valid Passport for International Travel
  • Pass an entry background check
  • Pass an entry drug screening and submit to random drug testing

    Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline – Mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Preferred
  • Prior experience and knowledge of Coiled Tubing & Slickline operations
  • Soldering and ESD safety – On the job training available, but prior ability is a plus
  • TWIC, Rigpass, HUET, Water Survival qualifications
